An Amsterdam label for
emotional electronic music.

Disruptive Records started with a piano. At the end of 2019, before there was a company, Ivo Adelaar began releasing his father Ron’s piano pieces and found listeners who wanted exactly that: calm instrumental music in a loud world. The label was founded in Amsterdam in early 2020 around that idea. In January 2021, ADA and Warner Music Benelux took it global.

For a while the house had two rooms. Andante Piano wrote the neoclassical originals. Disruptive released lofi and electronic, the founder’s own side of music. The merge was the logical next step: take the piano from one room, the pulse from the other, and let them share a track. The first results were reworks, Andante pieces switched on. The sound now has its own name, its own originals, and since 2025 its own A&R, Jeffrey Lens, signing artists who already live between the two.

Emotional electronic music: warm, patient, built for deep work, night drives and the last hour. Piano underneath, always.

Today we have distributed over 300 artists, the music has passed one billion streams, and Disruptive Records sits alongside Andante Piano as an official Apple Music curator partner. The events now have a home of their own: the studio on the Admiralengracht, and the nights we host from it.
