I started playing piano at age six and soon discovered my passion for improvising and writing my own music. My first larger composition was a Christmas musical which I composed at the age of 11. I played in various bands, studied musical theory as well as classical organ for a couple of years, and earned my first money as a teenager by playing piano for smaller audiences at different occasions. Today, I find great happiness in creating music and sharing it with others. What drives me is the hope that my music can give people something they might need in the moment of listening: relaxation, comfort, happiness. My musical and creative style can be described as a mix between ambient, modern, calm piano pieces and classical, melodious soundtracks. My personal leitmotif and the guiding principle at the heart of each of my compositions is always the same: a simple, sincere melody.
My name is Leonard Lehmann. I am 33 years old and I have live most of my life in Berlin, where I was also born. I started to learn the piano at the age of 7 and went to music school for 13 years. Besides taking music lessons, I have always liked to just sit at the piano and "noodle around", constantly looking for new ways to express myself through the instrument. Ever since I felt drawn into interesting harmonies or inspiring rhythms. Music probably always played the biggest role in my life, as I truly believe that music has the power to open doors of ones soul but also the souls of others. In a world full of separation, music can bring people closer together.

The piano has forever been there. Tjeerd Oosterhuis, born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, discovered the instrument at the family home. Inspired by the music of his mother, a professional violin player, and father, a well known poet and church music lyricist, he got a feel for it and received his first classical training at age seven. In his teens Tjeerd developed a taste for popular music and started the band Total Touch that recorded two hugely succesful albums. Based on that he started his own music production company, now called DEMP Music, to extend his allround creativity. Since then he has written hundreds of classically inspired compositions and did production for popular artists, movies, musicals and much more. Most of these were based on his own ideas he got while playing the piano and several of his productions reached multi-platinum status. Over the years Tjeerd has always been creating private piano compositions and recently he has devoted more time to his playing. He has also been recording his brand new, original compositions in the field of neo-classical music which are now being made available to the public. As still, the piano is always there.

Music has always been a natural part of my life since I am brought up in a family full of music. Both my parents and my three brothers are musicians. As a kid and teen, I played several instruments e.g. piano, violin, flute, bass, trombone, drums, etc. I’ve played in different orchestras, both classical and big bands, and I’ve been singing in choirs. I went to the music school "Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser" in Stockholm which was the key to learn music theory. I focused more on playing piano and synthesizers in my mid-teens as that became the instruments I used when I began to compose my own music. Today I compose and produce music in different genres, from contemplative piano and orchestral music to pop, jazz, AOR. With my artist profile Sigvard and my piano music, I wish to help my listeners find inner peace and harmony. For me, music is the ultimate way to express my emotions and feelings.
