Steven Weston is a Grammy winning producer, songwriter and live electronic artist based in East London. He has released on Anjunadeep, Bedrock and Last Night On Earth, and collaborated with Lapsley, RHODES and Braxton.
Raised in Portsmouth, he learned the organ from the age of 11 before an obsession with electronic music led him to a set of turntables. At 18 he left for Spain, becoming a resident DJ on the Murcia Coast, and has been on the move ever since.
London came next. He cut his engineering teeth at Metropolis and Strongroom, and went on to record Rudimental's third album as their studio engineer.
Steven entered the electronic music scene with his debut EP Blank Dust, quickly earning support from John Digweed, Jody Wisternoff, Lane 8, Sasha and CamelPhat.
His 2022 release with Lapsley has passed ten million streams across all platforms.
He also runs Blank Dust, an independent label for melodic and atmospheric electronic music, which got its name from his debut EP.
Beyond his own work, Steven has spent 12 years collaborating with James Lavelle as part of UNKLE, now the longest-standing collaborator in the project. In 2024 he received a Grammy as producer and songwriter on One For Sorrow, UNKLE. He has toured as a keyboardist and music director for Christine and the Queens, Charli XCX, Mikky Ekko, Rose Gray and Loreen, served as lead bass player in Badger Kull, the KLF side project.
